COOKED SALAD DRESSING (1972)

(You make it with evaporat milk and serve it on cabbage, potato or lettuce salad) 1/2 cup sugar - 1 teaspoon salt - 1 teaspoon celery seed - 2 teaspoon dry mustard - 2 tablespoon com starch (?) - 1 cup water - 1/2 cup vinegar - 1 egg undiluted evapored milk. In top part of double boiler mix dry ingredients. Stir in water and vinegar. Cook over boiling water. Break egg into measuring cup. Add enough milk to fill cup and beat with fork to break up yolk. Add to first mixture and beat with rotary beater until blendend. Refrigerate.
